CareRooster

Privacy policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

CareRooster connects home-care agencies with the caregivers who work for them. This policy says what we hold, why, and what you can do about it.

WHAT WE HOLD

If you are a caregiver: your name, mobile number, email if you give one, your town and ZIP code, how far you will travel, the days and hours you usually work, the shifts you are booked for, messages you exchange with an agency through the app, and any feedback you send us.

If you run an agency: your name, work email and number, your agency's name, address and contact details, your caregiver list, your schedule, and the jobs you post.

We also hold a device token so we can send you notifications, and basic records of when you signed in.

WHAT WE DO NOT HOLD

We do not collect location in the background. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not sell anything about you to anybody. We do not hold client medical information — CareRooster is a staffing and scheduling tool, and shifts are labelled with a client reference rather than a patient record.

WHY WE HOLD IT

To show you your shifts, to let an agency you work for offer you work, to let the two of you contact each other, and to send the notifications you have turned on. An agency sees your details because you added them, or because they added you and your phone number matched.

WHO SEES WHAT

An agency sees the caregivers on their own list and nobody else's. A caregiver sees their own shifts and the jobs of agencies they are connected to. When you put your hand up for a job you choose whether to share your phone number; if you do not, the agency can only message you inside the app.

We use Supabase to store data and Expo to deliver notifications. Photographs of schedules you upload are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to be read into text, and are not used to train models. We use Twilio to text a verification code when you sign up.

HOW LONG

While your account exists. Delete your account in the app under Privacy and safety, or email support@carerooster.com and we will do it within 30 days. Deleting removes your name, contact details, availability, messages and upcoming shifts. Shifts you have already worked stay on your agency's records with your name removed, because an agency has to be able to show who covered a shift.

YOUR RIGHTS

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@carerooster.com. If you are in California you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

CHILDREN

CareRooster is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold anything about a child.

CHANGES

If this policy changes we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
